My lifelong passion for woodwork began when I was a young boy, in my grandfather’s workshop. My livelihood as an engineer and as a mathematics teacher have supported my passion, allowing me to do woodwork as a true amateur, one motivated by the love of the craft.
My knowledge of engineering and mathematics is called frequently into play in designing and executing my works. I design and make furniture, cabinetry, architectural woodwork and have made several musical instruments, to wit, harpsichords, clavichords and hammered dulcimers. I accept private commissions and invite visitors to my shop in Putney.
